2014 - Beijing Design Week & 751 Design Festival
" ... On September 27th, with the whistle of the No. 0751 train, 751 Beijing Design Festival would be officially opened. Being one of the most important projects of Beijing Design Week, it’s already the 4th 751 Beijing Design Festival since 2011. This project is aimed at creating a platform for Chinese and foreign designers to exhibit, trade and communicate as well as a great meeting which would be international, high-level, professional, open and creative. This year the events would be held from September 26th to October 3rd, and the focus would be on intelligent design, sustainable design and folk handicrafts, using excellent exhibitions, master’s lectures and interactive activities to bring to the theme ‘Grand design, intelligent life´ ..."

“During Beijing 2014 International Design Festival, Mr. Boris Wieser, the antique carpet collector, co-owner of Dragon Gallery – Wieser & Meindl, accepts our interview.
Boris was interested by the mysterious patterns and symbols on antique carpets from very early age, with starting his collecting in 8 years old; he is now one of the few experts of Chinese antique rug in the world.
Boris hopes his speech and exhibitions can make more people, especially the young people, to know the art of rugs, and he is also working on a book about rugs in Beijing and Tianjin in a certain Period of history.”
